Web based crowd funding site, Kickstarter, hacked

Source: Telecom Blog

Popular cloud based Crowdfunding site, Kickstarter – the place where many popular consumer gizmo’s like the Pebble watch, Pressy and OUYA got their start – has been hacked, with users’ ¬†information being stolen.

Kickstarter have confirmed, in a statement on their website, that no credit card information was lost and only two accounts have, thus far, been confirmed as hacked.

Kickstarter is recommending all users immediately change their passwords. If you’re a user of the service, we recommend you make reset your passwords as soon as practical and, if you used that password anywhere else (no one would still do that, right?) change it there, as well.
